Swimsuits + Clothing
We ask that everyone dresses modestly.
We want the focus to be on God and building community, not on what people are wearing.
Boys: Modest swimsuits: board shorts, shorts/pants must be at or above waist line.
We ask that all swimsuits and clothing adequately cover appropriate body parts, regardless of style.
Girls: Modest swimsuits: One Piece, Tankini, Two-Piece swimsuits are allowed. Any style with strings is not appropriate. We ask that all swimsuits and clothing adequately cover appropriate body parts, regardless of style.
Adequately covering appropriate body parts means covering your back, stomach, bottom, and chest. All 4 apply towards regular clothing and the last 2 apply towards women's swimsuits.
There are two sections at camp: Main Camp, and Waterfront.
Main Camp: Girls must wear a top (t-shirt, tank top, etc.) and shorts over swimsuits.
Guys must wear a shirt or tank top.
Waterfront: Modest swimsuits are allowed.
**We will ask anyone outside of these rules to change into appropriate clothing. If they do not have appropriate swimwear, we will provide a pair of shorts and athletic tank top if applicable.
Chapel Youth Camps Cell Phone Policy
No cell phones at camp*
Phones and any internet enabled devices (ex. smartwatch with data, laptops, gaming console) can be left at home or they will be collected when you get off the bus (or van) and will be given back to you before the drive home.
We want every student to be fully present while at camp.
To help achieve this, we are having students leave their phones and any other internet enabled electronics at home. This will help students connect with each other and with the main purpose of camp, which is to give students an opportunity to experience the Love of God and build community.
Contacting your student.
We know that you may need to contact your student during camp. You can do so by calling our camp phone at 360-926-5544. Your student(s) will also have the opportunity to reach you using this phone or by using their leader’s phone.
Taking photos.
We know a big part of phones is taking pictures. We will have GoPro’s and digital cameras available for students to check out, leaders can take photos and share them with the students, there will be a camp photographer that will post photos for download after camp, and we will post photo updates to our instagram stories and facebook daily.
*The exception to this rule is if the student needs the phone for health reasons (Ex. diabetes). This must be communicated to camp leadership prior to leaving for camp.
All check ins and pick ups at Camano Chapel.
